I Went For a Walk Today

I went for a walk today - Monday December 17, 2004.

Pictures M1 through M67 are my Monday pictures....between my house and the Arco station, in the alley, backyard and some inside. There were some pretty flowers out today...and the usual unusual assortment of cool looking stuff, depending how you look at it, I suppose.

I like that one guy who said he takes pictures like everyday is a holiday.

Beauty is where you find it.

m42 - Saw this bench on my walk today. It's actually brand new...made out of some recycled wood-like plastic material.

m22 - This is a sign of something on a curb. Those city guys use some cool colors to mark pipes or electric lines before someone digs.

m23 - I'll be an airplane or a beer can someday then I'll buy you your very own ashtray. I love you Pepsi. I love you cigarette butt.

m53 - Milk Hien gave me

m54 - I'm making this milk cow from the can of sweet milk that my friend Hien gave me. She gave me a Vietnamese coffee maker and the milk...very nice. I really liked the cow shape on the lid of the can. I cut it out with a pair of tin snips, put it in a 35 mm film canister lid, and covered it with glue. It isn't totally dry yet, but when it is I think it will have a nice soft color. After it's cured, I'm going to take it out of the lid and have a coin-like artifact...not sure where I'll spend it yet.

I feel very fortunate to have known some good teachers in my life. They gave me the childlike curiousity to learn a little every day, appreciate the wonder all around us, and last but not least the ability to not take things too seriously. I can sit really still sometimes. Other times I just go in circles. I love to laugh, and try to make other people laugh. I ran out of room on the interest section but I also am interested in water, air, life, birds, flowers, animals, mountains, rivers --- everything.
